ABOUT STORYTELLERS

THIS ONE IS FOR THE PHOTOGRAPHERS & FILMMAKERS

Hi there! Madi + Ash here. We are so stoked you are reading this. The Storytellers Workshop has been a project in the making for a long time. We’ve worked together on dozens of weddings throughout our separate careers & have had hundreds of conversations about the same thing — storytelling. Ashley has spent a majority of her career photographing stories & Madi has spent the majority of her career on filmmaking.

Each of us offer both options in our business model. We feel so strongly that photography & filmmaking are incredible tools to relive some of lifes most precious moments. Which is why we’ve created this workshop — to share with you what we’ve discovered about the art of storytelling.

the STORYTELLERS

education / content / business / branding

Ashley Meagan Photography

Ashley has been photographing weddings as her full time job for 6+ years. Although primarily offering photography, Ashley offers filmmaking in her portfolio as well.

Ash has an incredible eye for styling, posing & designing. She is meticulous in her editing & always knows how to make clients feel comfortable in front of the camera -- & it shows in her work. After creating dozens of styled shoots & private content days for marketing her business -- she decided it would be a great opportunity to offer these styled content sessions to workshop attendees to perfect their craft.

Before going full time in the wedding industry, Ash worked in the medical field for years. One day she finally realized she was too busy with this "hobby" and had to quit her day job. What a dream, right?! When she is not documenting love stories, you can find her binging true crime shows and podcasts, watching all the dog videos or RZR riding + fishing or any outdoor adventure with her husband, Brady, and their pups, Penny + Peso.

Madison Rhoton Video

Madison has been filmmaking since she was a kid. She started documenting wedding films in 2016 & made it her full time career in 2019. She offers both videography & photography which has created great opportunities for her to work on other projects such as baby films, documenting family history & creating marketing content for businesses.

Although she loves the creative aspect of filmmaking -- she thoroughly enjoys all the backend of running a business. Client experience, organization, finance & marketing are all equally important as the creative aspect of her career. She loves being able to 'mom' & run her own business to help support her family. She loves being the hype girl of other entrepruenuers prepping to take the leap, starting their own business & building it into something that allows them the freedom, finances & joy that can come from being your own boss!

Madi married her high school sweetheart almost eight years ago & has a two year old little guy named Drew. When she isn't working her favorite place to be is on the ski slopes with her husband or snuggling her baby on the couch watching whatever lights his face up that day.

FREQUENTLY ASKED Q'S

• How do I sign up?!

FIRST OF ALL YAY! We are so stoked to meet every single one of our workshop attendees + make this the best experience. In order to reserve your spot at Storytellers, you will need to fill out the 'inquiry' form on our contact page! Once you've filled out that form, your admission will get sent to us & we will send you instructions on how to reserve your spot.

These instructions will include a contract & a 30% deposit payment. Once each of those has been returned, your spot is reserved!

• Is there a limit to the number of attendees?

Yes! We will be capping the workshop at 12 attendees! We want to keep the workshop big enough to make lots of industry friends but small enough that everyone has a personalized experience that will best help their business!

• Is transportation included?

Transportation is not included. We will be providing stay + all meals! But you will be in charge of your own transportation because we will be having attendees arriving from many different locations.

The workshop will take place in Southern Utah! You can fly into the St. George (SGU) airport, which is the closest. You also have the option of flying into the Las Vegas, Nevada airport which is approx. two hours drive time to St. George.

Once all attendees have been selected we will provide a group contact where attendees can work out car arrangements so everyone has a ride to & from the workshop & each shoot. We can help arrange this after booking!

• What education topics will you cover?

We plan to cover a whole range of topics! Some of our most requested topics for education are marketing your business & finding clients, booking clients & pricing yourself, gear settings & editing, client experience & 'posing', business flow & organization.

Each of our attendees will receive a questionnaire upon booking that ask their input on topics as well. Any other topics requested we will do our best to incorporate into the workshop lectures so the information we provide is personalized to our attendees.

We will also be providing short 1 on 1 mentoring with each attendee at the end of the workshop to answer any last specific questions that may not have been covered in lectures, but would best help their business.

• How will this workshop help my business?

Something we both feel so strongly about is capturing people as they are, & turning it into art. Focusing our work on small moments, emotions & the unique personalities of our clients. It is something that has made each of our separate businesses stand out & reach clients with a similar mindset over the years.

This is why we created Storytellers! Our goal is to not only provide beautiful content — but to provide opportunities to create real, provoking, emotional art. We plan to do this through educating & hands on instruction during our time together.

We want you to walk away feeling confident with your work & a greater understanding of the importance of your career! Capturing moments in time, in a way that tells a full story. Full of emotion, a work of art.

• Will there be another workshop in the future?

CROSSING OUR FINGERS!

The fall 2023 workshop will be our first launch! We hope to bring more workshops to you in the future but currently this is the only one in the works.

• Are deposits refundable?

Your 30% deposit to reserve your spot is nonrefundable. This is because this deposit will be used to book your stay, book vendors for the events & purchase a few little gifts we want you to take with you after the workshop!
