One of my favorite locations — ever — is the Valley of Fire. The reason Valley of Fire is such a hot pick for destination weddings & elopements is because it is equally beautiful & convenient to host an event at. HERES WHY!
The Valley of Fire is an absolutely breathtaking desert park outside of Las Vegas Nevada. It is a state park that is encompassed by Red Rock that looks like you could be on another planet, simply one of a kind. Valley of fire is home to many famous landscapes such as Rainbow Vista & the Fire Wave. You are sure to see some amazing views, which obviously makes for incredible photo & videos of your day.
But the best part about VOF is it is a short drive from the city of Las Vegas Nevada. Las Vegas is one of the biggest cities in the country which means it is easy to fly into, drive into & convenient to stay at. Whether you are eloping with just the two of you, or bringing a full crew, its convenient & cheaper than most destinations to travel & stay.
Not only that, but because of its closeness to the city, you definitely wont run out of things to do. Between shows, shopping, fine dining, exploring, resorts or clubs — you can keep your itinerary packed with things to do, no matter your personality ++ hobbies! Las Vegas is typically great weather as well. So the chances of your wedding day getting rained out or snowed on is rare. The heat can be quite toasty in the dead of summer – so I recommend planning your event in spring, fall or even winter in this area!
One thing to note about VOF – is you do need permits to host an event here. My favorite team *ever* that can help you with this project is Cactus & Lace. Cactus & lace is a women owned business that walks you through every step of your day. They are wedding planners, photographers, caterers — all the things. They will make your event as elaborate or simple as you’d like & have all the permitting to do that within the park. (see site below)
